Evidence and verification
A project is not automatically an investable deal.
CapitalGraph separates published facts, historical financing, procurement and research inference. Unknown financing stays unknown.
Opportunity classifications
The following classification standard guides research. Structured classification across all records is part of Phase 2; current labels and sources must still be reviewed individually.
| Classification | Evidence required |
|---|---|
| Confirmed Capital Raise | Use only when a reliable source explicitly establishes an active capital raise; record amount, sponsor, instrument and date where confirmed. |
| Announced Financing Process | A source announces a financing process. Execution, terms and remaining availability are not assumed. |
| Potential Financing Requirement | An explicitly labeled research inference requiring further confirmation; never presented as an available investment. |
| Project Development Opportunity | Published project development activity that merits investigation; does not establish a current capital raise. |
| Procurement Opportunity | An official solicitation checked against source deadlines and addenda; not an equity or debt investment offer. |
| Market Intelligence Only | Published market context or historical activity without evidence of an active investment process. |
Read the source history
Attribution
Retain original sources, publication or event dates, and which claims each source supports.
Verification
Source-review dates are separate from record edits. A recent edit does not mean all claims were reverified.
Relationships
Use explicit sourced relationships. Shared industries and inferred fit do not establish ownership, financing or an award.
What current records demonstrate
NASA Glenn’s laboratory procurement record includes source history and an explicitly unknown funding status. SAM.gov addenda remain unverified in the record.
Grand Parkway Segments H&I records historical DOT financing. Its 2019 credit agreement is not evidence of a current investment opportunity.
Quality and privacy
Use reliable public sources, authorized integrations, licensed data and original reporting. AI may support research and classification, but must not fabricate amounts, mandates, contacts or relationships.
People intelligence should use sourced public professional information. Private contact data remains excluded from public records. Data exports and API rights require permission and licensing review.
