Constellation-class spacecraft and high-volume manufacturing systems for commercial and government missions.
Overview
Inflection Space Systems is developing constellation-class spacecraft and the manufacturing capacity needed to produce them at industrial scale. The Los Angeles company aims to replace low-volume, clean-room-style production with highly automated processes suited to large commercial and government constellations. Its first announced spacecraft, the Exponent platform, is designed around reliability, constellation economics, and mass production for applications including orbital computing, Earth imaging, and telecommunications. Founded in 2025, Inflection is a Y Combinator Fall 2026 company led by co-founders Alex Lisso and Matt Hanley, whose backgrounds span spacecraft design, manufacturing, integration, testing, and operations at organizations including Rocket Lab, Planet Labs, Loft Orbital, and Interlune.
