Louisiana Sets November Start for $1.59 Million Ches Courville Road Bridge Replacement

Louisiana DOTD expects work to begin November 2 on a $1.59 million bridge replacement along Ches Courville Road near Church Point.

Louisiana’s Department of Transportation and Development expects construction to begin November 2 on a US$1.59 million bridge replacement along Ches Courville Road near Church Point, according to an October 21 project notice.

The existing bridge will be replaced with a new structure. DOTD said Ches Courville Road will close to through traffic during construction, with local access maintained on either side of the work zone. The closure is expected to remain in place through April 2027, and overall completion is anticipated in May 2027, weather permitting.

The notice establishes a near-term mobilization date and a defined closure window, useful for subcontractors, material suppliers and nearby operators tracking active transportation work. It does not identify the contractor, delivery method or a separate total-program cost beyond the stated project amount.
