NVIDIA Unveils Containerized DSX POD AI Factories for 2027 Deployment
NVIDIA introduced a containerized Vera Rubin AI-factory reference design that partners plan to deliver worldwide in early 2027.
NVIDIA introduced DSX POD on October 21, a reference design for Vera Rubin AI factories assembled and validated in modular containers. Partners including Dell Technologies, HPE, Lenovo, Schneider Electric and Vertiv are expected to deliver systems worldwide beginning in early 2027.
The design shifts rack integration, cabling, wiring, piping, liquid cooling and functional validation to manufacturing facilities while site crews prepare power, cooling and network connections. NVIDIA says a prepared site could move from delivery to operation in as little as 14 days, compared with roughly six months for a conventional onsite deployment.
That schedule is a vendor target, not a guaranteed project duration, and it assumes supporting utilities and civil work are ready. The announcement signals demand for standardized electrical, cooling, logistics and site-preparation packages around modular AI capacity.
