Morgan Hill Details October Road Closures for Upper Llagas Flood Work

The city’s October 19 update identifies Phase 2B finishing work and access restrictions into early November.

Morgan Hill’s construction update for the week of October 19 identifies further roadway work associated with Valley Water’s Upper Llagas Creek Flood Protection project. The city expects Phase 2B, the final portion of the regional flood program, to be completed in 2027.

The immediate schedule includes daytime Wright Avenue closures from October 23 through October 30, beginning no earlier than 8:15 a.m. The city says crews will perform paving, striping and minor concrete finishing. It also flags traffic effects around Wright and Hale avenues through November 4, while Hale Avenue between Main Avenue and Llagas Road remains closed into early November.

The update distinguishes these near-term access restrictions from completion of the full flood-protection program. The city does not announce a new construction award or a revised total project value. Travelers and businesses should check the current municipal notices before planning access because individual road and trail restrictions have different end dates.
