Madison’s Pflaum Road Reconstruction Moves From Utilities to Pavement
Madison reports that first-phase sanitary sewer, water-main and storm-sewer work is complete on its Pflaum Road reconstruction. The October 16 update says crews are preparing the new roadway between Kvamme Lane and South Stoughton Road before concrete pavement, curbs, driveways and sidewalks are installed.

The October 16 update says crews are preparing the new roadway between Kvamme Lane and South Stoughton Road before concrete pavement, curbs, driveways and sidewalks are installed.
Grading and concrete work at the Stoughton Road intersection require a temporary restriction on its service road. Northbound access remains available while the southbound lane is closed; the city expected the restriction to last at least two weeks.
The wider program reconstructs Pflaum Road from Stoughton Road to Monona Drive and adds a separated shared-use path. Its published schedule divides delivery between 2026 and 2027.
The first section is scheduled to finish in November 2026, with the remaining section planned for spring through August 2027. These are city forecasts. The reviewed project page does not establish a total investment value.
