The city reported that the generator had been placed and that crews were pulling wires and terminating connections. Its update targeted operation by the end of the following week; that forecast is not confirmation that the generator is now in service.
The $32 million replacement handles stormwater and sanitary sewer flows near Eighth Street and Coronado Avenue. The new station passed its operational test in July, when city staff took control.
The page’s older second-quarter 2026 completion estimate is superseded in practical terms by later reports of continuing work. An exact revised whole-project completion date was not established in the reviewed update. Follow the city’s dated construction reports for the remaining electrical and site-work milestones.
