Savannah Handles Record 504,015 TEUs in September

The Port of Savannah handled a September record of 504,015 twenty-foot equivalent units, Georgia Ports Authority reported October 7, 2026. Volume increased 3.7% compared with September 2025.

The authority’s fiscal first quarter exceeded 1.5 million TEUs, up 2.7% year over year. The Appalachian Regional Port also reported a 13% increase. The figures provide a current indicator of cargo activity across the port network.
