Overview
AMD designs the compute engines behind data centers, AI systems, cloud platforms and high-performance computing. Its infrastructure portfolio spans EPYC server processors, Instinct accelerators, ROCm software and adaptive computing technologies used by hyperscalers, enterprises, research institutions and equipment partners. Headquartered in Santa Clara, the public semiconductor company has expanded through multi-gigawatt collaborations with OpenAI and Meta and deployments with Oracle and other cloud providers. AMD’s role is primarily technology supply and platform enablement rather than data-center ownership or construction.
