TeraWulf Contracts 1 GW for Muskie Campus, Targets Second Phase in 2029
The amended power agreement advances planned delivery; regulatory approval and utility construction remain conditions.
TeraWulf executed an amended electric-service agreement with Kentucky Power that doubles contracted power at its Muskie Data Campus in eastern Kentucky from 500 MW to 1 GW, the company announced October 5.
The first 500 MW phase remains targeted to begin ramping in 2028. Planned delivery of the second phase moves from 2030 to 2029, subject to Kentucky Public Service Commission approval and the utility’s construction schedule.
Kentucky Power is developing a 765-kV/345-kV substation connected to the regional transmission network. Contracted power is not energized IT capacity. TeraWulf is also evaluating a possible 2 GW campus, which remains dependent on further planning, infrastructure and agreements.
