PSEG’s newly released sustainability report provides a view of its utility supply chain and operating performance. Announced October 2, the report includes $2.4 billion spent with New Jersey businesses in 2025, representing 69 percent of total supplier spending.
PSEG also reports a 95 percent reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions relative to 2005 and recycling of 91 percent of utility waste during 2025. The figures are company-reported performance measures with different baselines and should be read in that context.
The company estimates that participating customers benefit from approximately $1 billion in annual savings through its energy-efficiency programs. The report describes recent performance and existing initiatives; it is not an announcement of a new construction award.
Infraday analysis
Supplier spending provides a useful complement to capital-investment headlines because it shows the regional business base involved in delivery and operations. For utility suppliers, the report is a signal of the scale of local participation. Specific work opportunities still depend on procurement notices, qualification requirements and the utility’s individual project schedules.
